      Lisette Lecat has narrated all the books in the No. 1 Ladies' Detective series, of which this is the 18th. Detection in Botswana, like daily life there, cannot be hurried. The series is characterized by quiet wisdom revealed through the investigation of quotidian mysteries with much consumption of redbush tea. Here, a woman has lost her job selling office furniture, dismissed because of an accusation of rudeness. Can Mma Ramotswe and Mma Makutsi, with the help of Mr. Polopetsi, get her reinstated? While Lecat's character voices are strong, they lean towards the imperious. Nonetheless, why not snatch some time away from the stress and haste of life and enjoy a different pace entirely?
